Backstory

Origins

Little is known about Prism's past. She once told Malevola that she never had or knew her father, suggesting she grew up in a fatherless household that impacted her emotional and social development.

Criminal Career

Prism's powers first manifested during or after a singing talent show. After placing second, believing the winner had bribed the judges, she used her new powers to set the girl's hair on fire. This incident inspired her first published song: "Girl, your hair on fire."

Joining SDN

As part of the Phoenix Program, Prism was rehabilitated and now works as a hero under Robert Robertson's dispatch.

Appearance

Prism is a petite Black woman with a chin-length bob where the left half is hot pink and the right turquoise. She has a beauty mark on her right cheek and brown eyes partially concealed by a teal visor. - Hero Costume: Black bodysuit with a thin gold line down the middle and around the base of her neck, with a single gold hoop where the lines meet. Prism is a flashy, dramatic, but charismatic diva who doesn't hesitate to show off her talents. Key personality traits: - Attention-seeking: Constantly stares at her phone, takes pictures during serious conversations, and requests her "trailer" - Defensive: Does not take kindly to insults, threatening Punch Up after being called "Lady Haha" and confronting Malevola for bringing up her father - Professional: Takes her hero job seriously, getting excited about dispatches and successful missions - Team-oriented: Cares about the team's longevity, getting angry at Invisigal's actions for risking "everything the Z-Team had been building" Despite being a "music snob," she's open to other genres like Malevola's techno yodeling.

Powers and Abilities

Photokinesis

- Multiple Projections: Creates multiple holograms at once, from simple fireworks to groups of people - Perfect Illusions: When concentrated on a single projection, can make it indistinguishable from reality, fooling even Shroud

In-Game Powers

- Doppelganger Illusion: When assigned to a call, duplicates the hero to her left with half their stats - Perfect Copy: Duplicated illusions now have full stats of the copied hero - Long Range Illusion: When a call is about to expire, creates an illusion that keeps it up for a few more seconds (once per shift)

Relationships

Robert Robertson

Initially mocking but warms up after his Mecha Man reveal. Confides her team concerns to him and becomes happy if he defends cut members from arrest.

Flambae

Her synergy partner. Considers him her VIP and shows concern when he's absent after the identity reveal.

Malevola

Close enough to make monetary bets and share personal information about her father.

Punch Up

Makes monetary bets with him, though their relationship can be tense.

Trivia

Oddly, her left boot doesn't match her left hair color, being turquoise instead of pink
Her entire concept is seemingly inspired by Dazzler from Marvel Comics - both possess light-based powers and are famous music industry artists
Unlike Dazzler who can only temporarily blind people, Prism can permanently blind them
Her voice actor, Harvey (Thot Squad), is a rapper whose songs "POUND CAKE" and "HOES DEPRESSED" are featured in the game
